I’ve built applications across the stack, contributed to open-source projects, and helped developer communities share what they learn. My background spans enterprise integration, backend systems, and the applications people use every day.

As a former member of the Spring Integration, Spring XD, and Spring Cloud Data Flow teams, I bring experience with the frameworks and integration problems at the heart of many Java applications.

Good software should be understandable, testable, and practical to operate. That means making deliberate choices about architecture, paying attention to the details, and leaving the next engineer with a system they can work with.

A product of our own.

Pembana brings together software engineering and my interest in botanical living collections. Building our own product keeps the everyday decisions about data, usability, architecture, and maintenance close to the work.

I live in Hawaiʻi, enjoy growing plants, and completed the Kona IRONMAN in 2019. Curiosity tends to connect those interests back to software—from image metadata to high-precision GPS.
